Reflection for Project

So what we went over the rules of the game kickball. Then we played a game of kickball. We didn't need to teach the kids how to play becuase they had already known and they alson knkew all of the tactics of kickball. When we were playing all of the kids seemed very happy with what we did and we made it so fun that they got the least amount of strikes the whole year.(that was 1) So I believe that Tanner and I did a good job at Horizon with the 5th graders.

The Battle of Fort Sumter

Today was going to be his favorite day. He was going to start to be in the Union army today even though he has been with us for months.
All of the sudden we here a cannon go off. Captain screams what on earth is going on who could be firing cannons at us right now. Half of the fort bas been blown up we start to fire our cannons at those people. As we are firing our cannons at them we get a report that those people across the lake are the people from the south. Immediately we stop firing our cannons. We tell that guy that was supposed to get his rank today to go and fire a salute shot to tell them that we are surrendering. Something had to have been wrong because as he shot it the cannon exploded. It looked really nasty his guts were flying all over the place. Our captain got the next recruit to fire off the salute this time it works and the south stops firing we escape from boats without them capturing us. We only had one death and 3 people injured. We got a report on what the kid did wrong on his first time that he shot the cannon. He put too much gun powder in the cannon and too big of a ball so that ball got stuck and the whole cannon exploded.

Dresdin Firebombing

Today’s my birthday. I have been waiting for this moment for ever. It seems like it’s been 20 years since I had my last birthday. Today is going to be the best day ever. My mom and I are waiting for my dad to come home. He works the night shifts. He’s almost home he called and said he was minutes away from home. Finally he gets home it feels like it’s been a whole hour when he gets home but it’s only been 2 minutes. My mom pulls out the cake, and all of the sudden we here a siren.
I’ve never heard this siren before but my parents are even wondered why this siren is going off, but they dashed out of the house. I decide to follow them. My parents end up taking me to this thing called a cellar it was right outside of my house and we shared it with my neighbors. They said that we were hiding here because people are trying to kill us. So I go in the corner and sit there for 10 hours. In the ten hours we here these loud bangs. After the first loud bang we can hardly see two feet in front of us because of the dust and shrapnel from the bombs. Our cellar is to damaged to be in for any longer so right when the bombs stop coming down we run as fast as we can. My dad had to carry me because I am not a fast runner. We get into another cellar. The bombs damaged that cellar also so we ran again. This time I didn’t close my eyes when we were running. It felt like everything was supper slow. I saw people lying on the ground dead. Some people were split in half because the bombs are so powerful and other people were burnt so bad they were skin and bones.
After the bombing we are being taken care of by these nice people. It is February 14th, my mom shows me my birthday present. It is a stick of sausage. I really don’t care because of what we are going through. We are walking around town and all of the sudden we here the siren again. The people that are taking care of tell us to go to their cellar. There cellar is astonishing it is 10 feet underground and actually has a hard floor and a couch. Also it has an oven to make some food if we want to. They say that we will be safe down here because we are so far underground. When the bombing is over we walk outside. There are soldiers cleaning up all of the bodies. They say that there are at least 40,000 people dead in this bombing. There are blood spatters all over the building I almost threw up but I didn’t. I also say some people burned and shriveled up to the size of a little kid even though they are an adult. There are people on their knees saying only one word; why, why. This is really disturbing I will never forget this moment. Nobody has a house anymore because the bombing destroyed every single house. My parents and I are going to be stuck in town for a while because the bridge is broken and that is the only way out of the town.

the scarriest day at work

The hallway was silent as I walked down it. I just got back from Florida during summer break. I felt worried as I walked in the building. I look from room to room searching for anybody. This place feels like death valley. I go to my bosses office and out of the corner of my eye I see some dude with a gun. I immediately call the cops and they say they will be here in a second. I always carry my side arm with me and I only see one person luckily I have my silenced pistol on me. I pull out my pistol take one shot he’s down for the count. I go the office in the office and there are two people inside. One person has an ak-47 the other has a pistol there are also 12 hostages. I wait for the cops on this one because I will have to take both of them down at the same time so they don’t shoot back.

The cops finally arrive I told them everything they went right in there and killed both of the men without any of the hostages dyeing and everybody went home to their parents.

SUDEN FICTION

“Are you crazy? It’s four o-clock in the morning why are you up this early in the morning.”

I am going to Best Buy they have a 50% off sale on everything in stock from 6 to 6:30and I want to get in line. Also I think I am getting a TV so don’t be surprised when I come home with one.

“Okay then that fine with me as long as it isn’t too much money.”

I am on my way to Best Buy now the traffic is terrible I wasn’t expecting it to be this bad. Finally, I arrive to the store I get there and the line is over 1 mile long not really but it sure looks like it. I can’t find a spot to park so I park across the street and it seemed like a lot of people did this. I enter the store finally and people are just filling up there cart with whatever they can find. Some people didn’t even care to see what they put in their cart they just threw stuff in. when I get to the check out I see people with 2 or 3 carts full of stuff this is unbelievable.

I am on my way home and I am glad that I got out of that place. It was a mob and I could hardly see two feet in front of me I was surprised I could find the cash register. Now I arrive home and figure out that I forgot to buy a wall mount to mount my TV to the wall. So I go back and the sale is over but it only costs 50 dollars to buy a wall mount for the TV.
I mount the TV on the wall and it looks amazing and it is supper big 80 in. I am surprised that it fit in my car but in the end it all worked out.

The college student

In a black dorm room lived a college student. The only problem was he had a ton of trouble thinking of what he was going to say in his essays. As he sits there, there are a billon pieces of paper crumpled all over the floor as he looks at his laptop. The reason why he is looking at his laptop is because he is looking for a train ticket to see his parents for spring break then go to Miami beach. But there is one problem the only thing standing in his way is a brick the brick isn’t any old brick this brick is keeping his door from opening he shouts, screams, and bangs but nobody can hear him.
When he is banging on the door he gets a good idea in his head. What he is going to do is put his i-pod on his i-pod dock and put the volume on high and turn on the most annoying song ever. This works and the cops came and broke him out of his dorm room. Since he is out his only problem now is getting to the train station on time. Finally he gets to the train station with 1 minute to spare.
On the train ride he is listening to his i-pod playing on his laptop. When he gets to his parents he stays there for only one night. When that one night is over he is on his way to Miami. He steps off of the train and says wow this is a nice place and he can’t wait for the upcoming days in Miami but the only problem is that he can only stay for 2 nights because he has a band concert.
Today is his last day at the beach then he has a 13 hour train ride home. On his way home he sees one of his friends and says hi. Then he sits back down and waits, and waits, and waits. When he gets to his band concert he saw his parents sitting there right in the front row. After words he talks to his mom and dad to ask why did you come here. They say because we only got to see you for one day and one day isn’t enough. They spend the rest of the day together like a happy family.

Godfather Death

Have you ever been the person that wanted to be rich and very famous. The doctor in “Godfather Death” died out by a candle and the author used opposition for death.

In the story Godfather Death there was a doctor that got raised up by death. Death keeps a candle for every person and when the candle gets low the person dies and every candle will burn faster than others. In the story the doctor treats people with a herb. If Godfather Death is standing by the persons head the doctor will be able to cure that person and if he is standing by their feet then he can treat them but Godfather Death will punish him. He treats the queen even though death was standing by her feet. His punishment was to see his candle. When he saw his candle the candle was almost out and he begged him a lot but Godfather Death only said “ A candle has to run out before a new candle can be put in its place.” Just as Godfather Death said that he fell to the ground and never got back up so this is means that these candles represent death.

Secondly the author decided that death should determine that someone was going to die by a candle. What is weird is that death represents darkness, and a candle is one of the brightest things that you can have. So the author decided to use opposition in the book .

In the short story “Godfather Death” a candle is used to represent death, and the author used opposites. So the story “Godfather Death” is most likely fiction because somebody couldn’t get raised up by death and people most likely don’t have a candle for when they are going to die.

The Monkeys Paw

Have you ever been the person that wanted to get three wishes then wanted one million dollars? Well in the short story "The Monkeys Paw" Mr. White gets that chance and tries to make other people feel good but then he second guesses himself, and the monkeys paw represents life and death.

To start with there was a man named Mr. White. He got the monkeys paw and had a chance to make 3 wishes. When he got to the second wish his wife said that he should wish for their son. So the man pleased his wife and wished for her sin thinking the wish wouldn’t come true. In a couple minutes they hear a knocking on the door. The man is surprised and second guesses himself scrambles for the monkeys pay and wishes his son gone and the knocking was gone. So this means that Mr. White is a person that second guesses himself after he tries to make somebody feel good.

Secondly the monkeys paw symbolizes life and death. It symbolizes both because first when Mr. White wished for his on it came true and his son was reborn which symbolizes life. The death part is when Mr. White wished that his son was gone and they assume that their son was gone because the knocking stopped so that symbolizes death.

Mr. White uses his powers to please other people but then second guesses himself and the monkeys pay symbolized life and death. In the story the monkeys paw it is obviously an unrealistic story because you can’t just make money appear and bring people back to life.

A Clean Well Lighted Place

In the short story “A Clean Well Lighted Place” there was an old drunk man that we believe symbolized the author and other people in their older ages, and this story is a comedy.

To start with there was an old man and we believe he symbolize the author and/or other people in their future. The reason why we believe this is because the old man had everything he wanted a wife and money. Since he had money he was an alcoholic and went to the café every single night really late. The waiters didn’t like that he stayed so late and the young waiter said that he should go and kill himself because he didn’t like him there every single night. But the older waiter was wiser than the younger waiter so he never said that. The author had money and a couple wives but he ended up committing suicide just like the young waiter said that the old man should do.

Secondly I believe that this story is a tragedy because when you look at it like the story end with darkness being a death symbolism and not having it end in a tragedy. So in the story the waiters were nice people. Then they are in the café light while the dark bar is across the street and the old waiter tells the younger waiter to go home and get some sleep. The old waiter goes over to the bar and tries to stop the darkness but the darkness concurs him and the darkness is the death symbolism.

The old man could symbolize you in your older life, and the story is a comedy if you look at it the right way. This information should be taken seriously and the old man population should get decreased.
